If you've been inspired by the no-frills, hardworking approach of fly fishing videos featuring adventurers like the Jensens or other dedicated YouTubers who sight fish in remote waters, then I'm the guide you've been searching for. My emphasis is on immersing you in pristine waters alongside healthy and accessible fish, making your fishing experience truly authentic and rewarding.

I highly recommend being proficient at casting 9-foot leaders with 3 feet of tippet before your fishing adventure. If casting at this level is challenging for you, we might need to invest a significant amount of time in casting practice instead of actual fishing.

However, if you're interested in improving your casting skills, we can certainly provide casting lessons. Alternatively, if time allows, we can arrange additional casting lessons for a fee. This way, you'll be better prepared to make the most of your fishing experience.

I offer a different array of possibilities and we can tailor each trip to each persons capabilities.

Bare Bones | $900* per 8 hour day

This is the basics but your best value. I pick you up and get you to fish. You can use my gear and equipment but you bring any food or drinks you need. The only thing we worry about is getting you to the fish.

Full Amenities Package | $1050* per 8 hour day.

This gets you breakfast, lunch, drinks, and anything else you need organized. Along with all my gear usage. 

Weekend Campout | $2200

I pick you up Friday night we either set camp or if you don't feel like full roughing it we get lodging in the area. That cost will be an extra $140 a night depending on what you like. I deal with everything, fishing all weekend returning Sunday. 
 

Additional Add-ons or Options

Small Helicopter - $1300*
2 people only. Day trip only. That cost will be on top of the guiding. Severely reduces walking for the day. 
 

Large helicopter - $1800*

Up to 3 people either gear. More for overnight trips in the back country. Also additional to guiding costs

*All helicopter prices subject to change depending on where we are and where we want to go. But this is a solid baseline

Additional Angler - $100

Add-on per angler for bare bones. $150 add on for amenities package. 

Bed & Breakfast / Lodging

POA There are tons of very lovely lodges and batches all over Canterbury and the West Coast. I'm happy to organize them. Obviously the sooner the better due to availability. These will require larger deposits.
